In this free topic I decided to talk about similar subject that the Readers Presentation, but this time will be only about the Harry Potter’s book covers.

When I started to looking for Harry Potter’s pictures in the internet I found some websites with big galleries and I always thought really interesting the book covers.

Some time I decided to my own collection with the covers, I save some covers that a found in same websites for country, but some same sites didn’t organized very well the pictures.

So I take same set of pictures of the same country and to looking for the name of the country and others informations by the publishing house’s name. I found a lot of covers in a good quality and informations, confirmed the country’s names.

Now I have a collection about 67 different countries and 1147 pictures. All the pictures are named with the country, the number book and the version (common, adults, luxury, etc.).

My House - Raíssa

I live in house with my aunt. I think this house very comfortable. It’s a small house. In my city I live in a house too.

My house has two bedrooms, one lobby room, one small kitchen, one garage. In the entrance has a space with the clothe lines and a crafts workshop, when my aunts work with bamboo.

I live in dead-and street. I don’t know all the neighbors in the street, but some I say Hello, Good morning, How are you and others things like this. I live near the downtown, my school, a big avenue, some malls. I have a lot of bus to take to almost all Belo Horizonte.

I never live in a flat, I always live in a house, so I thing house is suitable for me. In some places and cities are more save to live in a flat, although we never had problems in live here.

A very good day in my life - Raíssa

I think, choice a very good day it’s difficult, I had a lot of outstanding moments.

On my 15^th Birthday, I earned from my uncles the Harry Potter’s books, It was the second book from Harry Potter that I earned, and the first of the 7 books. I stayed so happy and I cried too.

In the first time that I visited Rio de Janeiro, I get so happy when I knew the National Library.

The first time that I saw the sea, was wonderful.

When I got into the University I stayed really happy, My parents, family, friends and I. I cried a lot while a tried to wake up my father, tell to my mother and sister and call to my brother.

Every time that I came back to Muzambinho I felt very happy, it’s different the way I felt here.

The travels with my family are very nice too… My father loves to travel and he always take al the family together… I love.

DESCRIBING A HOUSE

The house is very confortable. You will love it.

It’s a spacious big house with three bedroms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, an office, a small garage and a balcony.

There are two spaces in yard where you’ll put work’s equipaments. The yard is walled. The house hasn’t internet an a cable TV, but there is a net in the street.

The neighbourbood sometimes it’s noisily, but just have birthday party. They’re frindly and helpely. There’s three bus lines near the street, a metro station wal a fifteen minutes to distance by car.

This house is nice for families with dog and who likes another animals like chicken and birds.

She likes listenning to music (not noisily), to make manufatures and seein films. She doesn’t take noise. She’s happy to do things with her hands. She has one sister and one brother and she lives with them. Her parents lives in another city.

The only negative things I can think of are that she’s a bit manpulative and her english is a bit bad. But I’m sure she’ll learn fast because she has a good pronunciation.

My house

I live in a detached house located at neighborhood Cidade Nova, northeast region in Belo Horizonte (the biggest city in Minas Gerais). It is a beautiful and big house.

It has 5 bedrooms, because I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Apart from that It has 2 living roms, 1 computer room and 6 bathrooms. I like it, because in my house I can rest without anyone bothering and I can play soccer or gardening with my mother.

The neighbourhood is good and friendly, but forward my house has a school. That´s too bad. Three times a day the students make much noise and bother everybody.

My house is suitable for rest, but when the students don´t are arriving or leaving school. Even so I don´t change my house. I love living in it.

Describing a House....

Would you like to live in a beautiful cottage house in Serra do Cipó?


It is a house not too big and has enough space to live comfortably. Inside the house there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a great balcony.


The balcony of the house it is a place to read a book, relax, take afternoon tea and chat with friends. So it's a relaxed place, preferably a place that makes you to enjoythe rest. In it we find flowers, a small garden and very green and we can also hear thesound of water, as it is near a waterfall.


There are not neighbors who talk a lot around it is an ideal home to live.

In july I was at Mineralogy Museum Prof. Djalma Guimarães located in "Praça da Liberdade" in Belo Horizonte. This museum, known as Queen of Scrap Iron. It has been the most controversial and polemic building in the city. This is in itself an interesting tourist attraction. Inside, there is an extensive collection of almost three thousand pieces. Around 800 of these are on display, picturing the importance of mining in Minas Gerais. I liked a lot because I study mining engeering and is very important to learn many things aobut minerals and rocks.

The museum has several copies known as diamonds, topaz, aquamarines and other rare minerals, along quartzite, slate, metal sheets and other industrial mineral sub-products are displayed in pedestals.

If you like that things or study about minerals I recommend to visit the Mineralogy Museum.

A day at the museum
In the last week, my friends and I went to Inhotim, a museum of contemporany art, in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais. There were beautiful gardens, with exotic plants and outdoor’s works. There were paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographies, videos and installations by renowned Brazilian and international artists. In some galleries is possible to interact with the works, for example, a room full of “bad cloth” and you can throw. In my opinion, contemporany art is very subjective, because each person understand a different thing in each work.

Very good day

A very good day in my life was the day that I know that I had passed the college exams at UFMG. I was working when a friend called me and said: "Congratulations". I didn’t understand anything (I didn’t know that the result had already) and I thought: “I think she's a little late because my birthday was last week ...". So, I asked her why the congratulations and she told me that I had passed. My eyes filled with tears and I thanked this moment. Then I tell my boss and he said about everyone in the company. I called my parents and my friends. Anyway, that day I couldn’t work anymore! But my boss didn’t care, after all is not every day that passed in the dreamed and suffered vestibular !

Would you like to stay in this beautiful house in Belo Horizonte?

It's a spacious house with four bedrooms, a living room, a large kichen and a dinning room. There are views from some mountains in the city. It's in a residential area, called Álvaro Camargos.

In the first floor, there is the garage, a big garden aroud the house, a barbacue, a swimming pool a wood stove, two bathrooms and a living room. The second floor, there's tree bedrooms, a kichen, a living room, a dinner room and two bathrooms.

There's a friendly and quiet neighbourhood, public transport form the centre of the city and from Savassi.

It's a house for four people or more, because have spacious rooms.

This photo was taken on holiday this year in July, on the farm "Vale Verde”. Where is produced the “cachaça vale verde”. the place is very beautiful, and you can see the still, there are a restaurant, has a very large green area. The farm also birds are bred in captivity, some species threatened with extinction, such as "Arara Azul”. Well, in this picture are two friends, Leticia and Ana Paula and me. And who took the photo was another friend, Daliane. They are my friends since high school. We met the first day of classes and we are friends today. We do not see very often, as each one chose a different path, different colleges, but whenever we vacation, we are to “put the talks in days”. that day was very enjoyable and fun.

My attitude to money

I think money is important, because doens’t have what you can do without it. However, money is not the most important thing, and it’s not the thing I'm worried. I think having money, for I want a home, family, travel, live and have quiet time to worry about things it’s really important: people, work and knowledge. Other values more important than money.

A time you saw or met a celebrity

I went to the Nando Reis’ show with some friends. The show was very good, very excited, we had fun. In the end, a friend and I went to the bathroom and when we come back we were a mass of people talking to the security and then he said: "quiet people, everyone will go." My friend pulled me by the hand and we entered through people. We arrived at the singer's dressing room, talked with him,took pictures and got autographs! I lost the picture, but I still have the autograph!
He is very friendly and we received very well.

One celebrity...

I don’t know if everybody knows, but in the last year I was a model and I did some fashion shows. I always saw many celebrities, but in this case, I had the opportunity to talk with one.

This happened in one fashion show called “Katuxa Fashion Way” in Divinópolis, MG.

I was drinking water with one model in the backstage – she was smoking – and the celebrity (his name is Ricardo Pereira, his is Globo’s actor) approached for ask “fire” to light his cigarette. We were talking a moment, until the cigarettes ran out! He would parade too.

About money...

I would be happy to live with less money and fewer possessions.

I’ve never want to be a rich or millionaire girl. I think the money is a important thing in our life because we society is capitalist, so the money is important, but not the most important. I need money just to have a comfortable and safe life. I need a small and cute house, a small and economic car, a few clothes, a few shoes and another things to live well. Today a person who have so much money don’t live quietly, she never had a safe life. She lives always with fear, and this is one reason more to me don’t want to much money for my life. I want and I need money but not to much.

1 -   Do not miss the opportunity to rent this beautiful house! It's a detached house in the suburbs of Contagem.

2 -   It has been expanded recently, and now it has a second floor with a room which can be used as (almost)anything you need, like a bedroom, a tv room or an office, for example, and two bedrooms, each one with a bathroom and a wardrobe attached. From one of these bedrooms you can see Serra do Curral with some of Belvedere's buildings and Alta Vila Tower, Serra da Piedade and the Mineirão Stadium. On the Reveilón, you can have a great view of Pampulha's fireworks too.
In the first floor, it has two living rooms, two bathrooms, a spacious dinning room(could I call it a hall?) and the kitchen. The water from the showers and the kitchen sink comes from a solar heating system.
Outside, there's two balconies, on the front and on the backyard, where the laundry is. On the backyard there's also a patio with another small bathroom, that makes it a perfect space for parties. There's also small areas that can be used for planting, where there's already some fruit trees, like Passion Fruit, Fig, Jaboticaba, Lemon, Grape, Tangerine, Apple, Pomegranate, Pitanga(Brazilian cherry?) and coffee trees, and often some mangos fall from the neighbour's house into the backyard.

There's two different attics, and a small room attached to the fence behind the house, that can be used to keep tools, gardening material or whatever you want (dead bodies? Just kidding).

3 -   It's near the main avenue of the neighbourhood, where you find bakeries, drugstores, supermarkets and bus stops at a walking distance. Fortunately the house is away enough from avenue's noise.

4 -   It's a perfect house for one or even two families, with no restriction for smoking, children or pets.

Embarrassment Situation

I am a very shy person. When I got into the university I didn´t knew anyone and the teacher chosen some students, divided us in groups and asked us to explain about an article. How I am from the inside the state my accent is different. In the presentation, when I started to talk my part some people laughed, because of my "rrrrrr" I became red, but I continued the explaination. It was terrible this presentation, but the other came better.

Boring Movie: The Exorcist

When I had about 15 years old I come together with two friends in my house to watch a movie in the afternoon. We made popcorn, a round candy made of chocolate and condensed milk, bought refreshment and rented a movie. The Exorcist is an old movie, famous and startles. We what the movie until the end, we expected a very startles movie with terrible scene, but the movie was funny and boring.

Something Interesting

I bought the Harry Potter's books in English, all them, except the first (Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone). Each country has his publication, some with different cover and illustration. I have versions of United States and England, of luxury and conventional. I intend to be able to read this books in English soon.

Planeta Brasil Tickets

A good day - Gabriel

I would say that the best day of my life was when I heard that I passed on the UFMG’s exams. But as some people already talked about this here, I’m going to talk about another ocasion wich was also very special for me.

When I was 16, I went to Ouro Preto with a friend of mine to meet some girls we had known by the internet. Yes, we did it! Hahah. When we arrive there, we visited a place called “Parque Horto dos Contos”. We spent some hours talking about all kinds of stuff with the girls. Then, we walked by the historic streets of the city and visited a few museums, wich was very enjoyable. Also we went to a store called “Fábrica de Chocolate”. It was when I ate the best Petit Gateau of my life! 

After all, it was a great experience. The weather was cold and delicious, the people in the city were very elegant, everything was perfect. So, this is a remarkable day for me.

Gabriel: An Embarrassing Situation

This happened exactly on the same day Cleber had ordered us to do this Homework!

I was in a Pizzeria with my friends when I saw my uncle.
With him, there was a woman wich I could see just her back. I though that she was my cousin. So I decided to say Hello to them. But as I’m not a very serious person, when I get their table I said: “Lady, could you give me a little of your Heineken? *-*” But when she turned to me, I realized that she was not my cousin, but some girlfriend of my uncle I had never seen before! Hahahahah

After this I started to laugh at myself, very ashamed.

"Ohhh, sorry! I though that you was Jessica..."

I wish I could be a more serious man ... I still remember of her face to me just like "Who the hell is this boy???" This was very embarrassing :p

The Best Day - Karla

Hello people, I don't know what is the best day in my life, because I had so many happy days in my life and it's hard to choose one, but, i'm gonna tell the day when I saw the concert of my favorite band: Never Shout Never!

Yeeees, was perfect, everything, and in the middle of the show I threw a pack of cigaretts for the vocals, Christofer Drew, and he picked up, looked and made a "awn" hahahaha, so cute *-* before the concert I went to starbucks coffee and ate brownie with Frapuccino of strawberries, it's a cold drink.

So, that's all folks! :D

THE BEST DAY

Everybody have a good days in your lifes. I also. Normally these moments are several. Days like this, make people feel good, happy and confortable. To remember special days is very good to me.

The most special day in my life was when I passed in vestibular, because was something inesperate. Is very complicated to write words which to do make sense just when to live. have your name in the list was very dificult: were several emotions in an emotion.

I don’t prepare me to vestibular in a specific course. Everything material of study was from a classmate. She helped me lending me the material of her course.

I did the test and traveled to my grandmother house. My father called me and told me. He was very happy with me. I felt very happy when I received the news. All my family give me congratulations. Was a big party.

This day was one of  best days in my life. Had others moments, but, without doubts, this moment was special for me. I never forgot it.

So guys... Was too dificult for me to choice one day in my life it was the best, but I think I decided:

The best day of my life it was in 2009 when I passed in the test selection for UFMG and for UEMG. I was approved in the course of pedagogy. I was very excited, like never before in my life and I cry too much! I choice to study at UFMG, of course! Study at UFMG was my dream since I was a teenager. In this day I celebrated too much and I was very happy! In my family just my sisters and I studied there, so for my family we was a proud!

I think this day it was the best day of my life because was so special for me and for the people who I like...

The best day....

The best of my life was during my childhood, I remember very well that I and two friends (adopted brothers), we sat in my house and talking about things and my dad used to tell stories very interesting that the media that he'd seen growing inventing on the spot. He had much imagination as the stories usually lasted two hours and were very interesting.

I remember also that we used to play truco was very interesting and funny because I played it with my oldest friend and hisyounger brother played with my father. My friend hid several cards and into always get out with the best cards and we earned. It was a season that we were worried about the serious things of life, where everyone had a great time.

Today we have to work hard, study hard and worry about health and we will pay the bills tomorrow. Life is just steps to win!
